Day 4: Konstanz – Friedrichshafen (Cycling 34 km / 21 miles | 15 minutes by ferry)

In the morning time for individual sightseeing of the flower island Mainau. From Constance you cycle to the ferry to Staad and take the ferry to Meersburg. If you stay overnight in Kreuzlingen, you can reach the ferry in a few minutes. It is also worth making a detour to the pile dwellings in Uhldingen directly after the crossing, which are located within an impressive open-air museum (+ 10 km). Take time to visit the town of Meersburg with its imposing castle and medieval town centre. Those who climb the path to the freshly renovated Fürstenhäusle of Annette von Droste-Hülshoff will be rewarded with a uniquely wide view over the vineyard and Lake Constance. The route then continues along the lake via Immenstaad to Friedrichshafen. The customs office building in the middle of the park and the baroque castle church are among the town's landmarks. Overnight stay in a very good 3* or 4* hotel in Friedrichshafen.

Day 5: Bregenz (Cycling 36 km / 22 miles)

Cycle the last few kilometres with a beautiful view of the lake back to Bregenz. Before or after dinner, a walk into the upper town of Bregenz with the Martin Tower is recommended. The quiet alleys with medieval buildings will take you back to times long past. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel
