Cycle track around Lake Constance

This cycletour takes you to the most beautiful and famous places on Lake Constance. Discover the islands of Mainau or Reichenau and enjoy the beautiful landscape around Germanys largest lake. The bike routes are easy to cycle, because the trails along the lake are in a very good condition. You stay in selected *** hotels; we transport your luggage safe and reliable from hotel to hotel.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bregenz

Arrival in Bregenz. Hand out of rental bikes (if booked) and tour information at our Donau Touristik Infopoint. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel. During the festival season - from 17.7. to 18.8. - overnight stays can be booked in hotels near the lake in the immediate area instead of in Bregenz (e.g. Wolfurt, Hard, Dornbirn & Lustenau)!
Parking options: „Parkplatz West“ (according to availability) about 10 minutes' walk from the cbike drop-off approx. € 10.00/day (payable on site via APP, eg. park now or easypark) OR in central underground car parking lot near the Pfänderbahn. € 125.00 bto / € 112,50 nto (special conditions, bookable in advance or on site; on site ONLY cash payment possible;

Day 2: Arbon / Egnach (Cycling 42 km / 26 miles)

Sightseeing opportunity Bregenz. You cycle through the parks along the lake, past the Festspielhaus and the Seebühne. Continue to Mehrerau, the only active monastery on Austria's Lake Constance. Continue past numerous bathing opportunities to the
Bregenzer Ache. Through the "Altenrhein-Mündung" nature reserve to Staad, and the swiss towns of Rorschach and to the day's destination.
Overnight stay in a 3* hotel in Arbon/Egnach.

Day 3: Konstanz / Kreuzlingen (Cycling 33 km / 20 miles)

Along the lake to Kreuzlingen/Konstanz. Due to the short stage of the day, there is enough time for an excursion to the nearby monastery island of Reichenau (+ 10 km or + 24 km incl. island tour) or for an extensive sightseeing tour of the city of Constance and its sights. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel in Konstanz/Kreuzlingen.

Day 4: Friedrichshafen (Cycling 33 km / 21 miles | 15 minutes by ferry)

Use the morning for individual sightseeing of the flower island Mainau; then to the ferry to Staad; crossing to Meersburg and along the lake via Immenstaad to Friedrichshafen (customs office building in the middle of the park, castle church,
Zeppelin museum). Overnight stay in a 3*- or 4* hotel in Friedrichshafen.
Due to the short stage of the day, an excursion to the pile dwellings in Uhldingen is worthwhile (+ 10 km).

Day 5: Bregenz (Cycling 35 km / 22 miles)

Via Langenargen, Wasserburg and the famous Bavarian island town of Lindau back to Bregenz. Overnight stay in a 3* hotel.

Day 6: End of the tour
